Our History
Field Packaging Solutions (FPS) has roots that stretch back to 1923, when 13-year-old Eli Field embarked on a journey from Liverpool to Ellis Island, seeking a better life in America. After working in his father’s house-painting business in Chicago, Eli discovered his passion for box manufacturing and began his career as a salesman. With just $500, a relentless drive, and the dream of building a future, he founded Field Container Corp. in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, in 1942.
